NIU's Haunted Physics Lab Reappears for Seventh Year as part of Spooky Science Saturday October 24

students touching electrostatic machineNorthern Illinois University and its Department of Physics and Chemistry invite you to join us for a fun afternoon of exploring spooky science.

The seventh annual Haunted Physics Laboratory will be located on the lower level of Faraday Hall on the DeKalb campus of Northern Illinois University and open to families from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 24.

The Haunted Physics Lab takes over nearly the entire lower level of Faraday Hall with over 60 hands-on science demonstrations. Come check out the science behind the mysterious.

The event is free to families and free parking is available across Normal Road in the parking garage.

Those wishing to bring a group of 15 or more should contact Pati Sievert for instructions. We like to schedule the groups separately to allow families to move freely through the demonstrations.

The event has been well received in the past with a 100 percent approval rating from children and parents alike when we survey participants.
